Dear Friend,
I want to encourage your heart! You are not going under, you're
going over! The days that we are in are appointed of the Lord for our strength! It is God
who is at work in this hour! He is at work in the hearts of those who believe in Him! He's
strengthening in the midst of adversity! He's giving His vision for individuals,
ministries and cities in times when we cannot see our way!
It's a time of letting our God be our Way! Letting Him guide us
through situations! Letting Him bring us out of our Egypts! Why? Because of the Promised
Land that's ahead of us that we have heard about, but cannot see...yet. Let me ask
you...would you rather be enslaved to Pharaoh or see Pharaoh with his army and chariots
drowned in the sea? Who is Pharaoh? What's controlling you? That's Pharaoh! Read
Philippians 2:12-13...
"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in
my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear
and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good
pleasure."
It is God who works in you to will and to do His good pleasure.
Well, so what does that mean? That means that He is working in our hearts so that we're
not only willing but doing His will. It's obedience that He wants from the body of Christ.
I have found in my own life that it's much better to obey the Lord than to act like you
didn't hear Him. I've also found it much better to move forward in obedience than to ask
too many questions about "why".
We must "work out" our salvation with fear and
trembling. So, then, how do we "work out" our salvation? Exercise it one step at
a time, that's how! "A man's steps are of the LORD; How then can a man understand
his own way?" Proverbs 20:24. One step out of debt at time...one step out of
bondage at
a time...one step out of fear at a time...one step out of trouble...one step out of
depression...you understand.
Even though we may have fear, take the step! Even though all
you're able to do is tremble, take the step! Step forward in that one step that you know
to take! You'll see God come through as you continue in taking the steps He has given to
you. Keep walking though you don't understand! That's real faith at work! "Work
out"! It builds strength!
Until we meet again, we are...
