He'll Pay The Ransom!

Dear Friend,

1998 has gotten off to a good start! I have such an excited feeling for what God is getting ready to do in the earth! There's a definite difference in the air! Have you felt the expectation of the Lord rising up within you?! Have you felt the difference that 1998 holds?! I believe we have crossed over a threshold into another phase of God's timing. The season of the Lord has changed!

Since New Year's eve, my family and I have experienced God's moving in areas that seemed absolutely impossible. Situations that didn't want to budge. Situations that looked hopeless. But, in the midst of them we kept sowing seed and releasing our faith for God to make a way. He is the one that has to make the way! I have experienced a peace and assuredness! No matter what things may look like, He will always come through with a better way if we'll wait upon His timing. Patience isn't an easy thing to learn, but it does pay off! Hebrews 6:12 says, "do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises". It takes faith and patience! We're in the season of inheriting!

The Lord spoke to me on the 2nd of January. He said that I had devalued some things that I owned. In my mind they had become lesser in value because they needed repairs or took up too much of my time. I had placed an ad in the classifieds after praying about it. I was going to "try" and sell something that in the past I had very little response with. The item immediately sold to the first caller without any price squabbling. I was speechless (yes, it's possible)! What had happened? Why was it successful all of a sudden? God told me it was timing! His! He then said that the pattern was set and He would begin doing that very same thing with some other possessions of ours that it was time to sell. My car was next! But God, it's impossible! Done in seven days with hardly any effort! This is too good!

On the 7th of January, while I was considering trading vehicles and the Lord showed me Jeremiah 15:21, "I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible". I had been saying, "this is terrible" every time I thought about the situation with my car. High mileage. Repairs needed. Nobody wanted it. I got so excited when I saw the answer! He was telling me that He was going to pay the ransom to the oppressor! Two days later He did! What's next?! I know where He's going next! He's already spoken to me! Hallelujah!

I'm making a list of all the ransoms that need to be paid in my life. Things that I cannot pay. After all, isn't that what Jesus did for us? He paid a debt that we couldn't pay. I've decided to shed dead weights in '98! This is our year! He will redeem us from the grip of the terrible! What oppressing thing has a grip on you? He'll pay the ransom! He brought Israel out of Egypt with back pay! Why not you?

Until we meet again, we are...
