Dear Friend,
I believe it's important that we recognize the
times in which we live. If we, as Christians, have the knowledge
of where we are, then our faith can work to get us through in the
flow of things. Jesus spoke about the times when the Pharisees and
Sadducees came to tempt him. They wanted him to show them a sign
from heaven.
"He answered and said unto them, When it is
evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And
in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red
and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky;
but can ye not discern the signs of the times?" Matthew
16:2-3
Jesus was plain in his speaking to them. It is
no different today. We can see the evidence of the times all
around us, but never comprehend what is being said in and through
them. These religious leaders were trying to disprove the times.
They were only looking for a sign so that they may have a weapon
to use against Him.
There are those who desire to see the will of
God fulfilled in the earth regardless of the cost. No matter what
the barrier may be, they will cross it. Whether it is doctrinal,
theological or dispensational. Today, as it was in Scripture, if
we have ears to hear what the Spirit says, let us hear.
Since the 80's, we have seen a sign that
pointed to the ministry of the prophet coming back into a place of
prominence and acceptance. That sign is the increased curiosity
and desire from the general public toward the spirit realm . It
has shown itself in an increased awareness of God and the occult.
People everywhere needed to know what was being spoken from the heavenlies, regardless of the source. Whether it was God or
demonic entities appearing as angels of light doing the speaking,
it has not seemed to be a concern. The psychic hotlines have
become a pricey bloodthirsty trend as a result. The prophet's
ministry is one of knowing what God is saying and being the
mouthpiece of God.
In this time, there is another sign in the
earth today that should be considered as well. The restoration
process of God says that the first shall be last and the last
shall be first. Next on God's agenda for restoration is the
apostles (Ephesians 4:11). Apostolic ministry is foundational and
governmental in nature. We can see that as the prophetic ministry
has released the judgment of God, so the apostolic has released a
foundation shaking. Judgment is released in the sense that the
judicial decree of God has been exposing and bringing closure to
issues that hinder holiness, first in the church.
"For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house
of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of
those who do not obey the gospel of God?" 1 Peter 4:17
Foundations and governments will be shaken in
this move of the Spirit. It is unmistakable that these proceed
from the apostolic anointing that is being released. Is it any
wonder that we are seeing governmental upheaval even within the
Federal Government of the U.S.? When judgment comes, the
decisions that we make will determine our outcome. The
governmental structures of the church and of the nations will see
either restructuring or dismantling according to their response.
Divine chaos precedes divine order.
"For thus says the LORD of hosts: 'Once more (it is a
little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land;
'and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire
of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,' says the
LORD of hosts. 'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says
the LORD of hosts. 'The glory of this latter temple shall be
greater than the former,' says the LORD of hosts. 'And in this
place I will give peace,' says the LORD of hosts." Haggai
2:6-9
We know that we are on the brink of a financial
change in the body of Christ. There will be a release of wealth.
The Israelites experienced it as they came out of Egypt. The early
church experienced it as they moved boldly in proclaiming Jesus.
After our shaking, we shall see it as well! Why fear if you are in
the hands of the Almighty? His mercy endures forever!
"For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown
no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment." James 2:13
Until we meet again, we are...
