Dear Friend,
Where is
it that our eyes tend to naturally look when adversity announces
it’s bold presence? Usually
at the worst! Let’s
face it. Sometimes we see the worst more than we see the best!
We don’t have to focus on the worst!
We can focus on the future with expectancy! Jesus said all
things are possible to him who believes! What do you believe?! Are
the present struggles that you are in threatening to take you out?
Do you believe they will? Do you believe there is something
greater in your destiny than your adversity?
I do! I
believe that God has a great deal more in store for us than we yet
understand or realize!
The
Lord spoke to me not too long ago and said, "The horizon
is expanding! Where
are you looking? At the horizon or the hindrances?"
It made me change my perspective! I had to realize that the natural part of me began to look at
the negative before ever considering the positive. Again, the Lord
said, "When faced with a faith challenge, you tend to
think it is the end when it is just the beginning."
God sees opportunity in our adversity!
He also sees that it is better for us to not be too much at
ease. When we are at
ease, there is no need to use our faith.
We can do things by our own ability and not have to exert
ourselves to trust anything or anyone.
That is not the realm of existence that we are to dwell in.
God
has a higher place for us! He
desires that we reign with him in heavenly places!
Does that mean that one day I can sit in His throne and
rule with Him? Yes! Today! Now! Every situation we go through is
designed by God to work to our good so that we are lifted up into
a new level of authority in Him. Every time you tackle something
through His ability that you struggled with, you qualify for
promotion in Him!
Fear
tries to get us to stop short of God’s promises! Don’t fear
adversity! It is the door of opportunity, if you’ll not fear it!
The Scripture says in Acts 14:22, ‘strengthening the
souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith,
and saying, "We must through many tribulations enter the
kingdom of God." '' Jesus told us
not to wait until the conditions for harvesting were perfect, but
to focus on the harvest! It is already ripe! Don’t let the
opportunity pass you by! Enter in and harvest! Don’t fear the opportunity! It’s
the door! Enter through the door into the power of the
kingdom! Possess your
harvest! Its there
just waiting for you on the other side!
Focus your eyes on the horizon rather than your hindrances!
Put the distractions to the side!
Put on your horizon eyes and look into that next realm that
God has prepared for you! Go
there with faith filled expectancy in your eyes!
See what God sees! Now, start heading in that direction and don’t look at the
distractions any longer! Remember,
we walk by faith not by (natural) sight! Focus!
Focus! Focus! You can make it further today than you could
yesterday! Your horizon is expanding!
Go further in Him!
