Dear Friend,

In the first part of this series, we stated that there are several keys that we must work in order to advance in the kingdom of God. We must have FOCUS, POSITIONING and PACE. I would like to discuss POSITIONING, secondly.

 I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. {2} Then the LORD answered me and said: "Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.  Habakkuk 2:1-2 

Our positioning in the kingdom of God does not come according to the doctrines of men, our individual ideas or good intentions. It comes as we hear the voice of God and obey His directives. Notice in Habakkuk 2:1 it says..."I will stand my watch. And set myself" indicating a determination of will and firmness of decision.

Positioning is only achieved through willing obedience. Isaiah 1:19 reads, "If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land." We can be willing and not obey. We can also obey and not be willing. Willingness is an attitude of heart. As we enter into willing obedience, our hearts are in a receptive mode with God.

Again, in verse one of Habakkuk two, we read..."And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected." Can we put ourselves in a position to receive correction to "our vision" or "our ministry"? After all, it is His vision that we hold in our hearts that He must bring to pass.

Joshua said to the people, "Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you."  Joshua 3:5 

Positioning is a time of strategic preparation and placement. At times, it looks as if nothing is happening. But in reality, patience is outlasting our plans and our enemies' distractions from fulfilling vision.

We need the spirit of wisdom and revelation to see beyond our natural situation into the wisdom of the spiritual adjustments of the Lord. As we allow the adjustments, we can't help but arrive in the proper position.

Allow the Lord to speak His positioning to you! He's realigning and redefining our roles and positions in the kingdom!
